  • Pick up from your Hotel at 07:30
  • By road to Maeklong Railway Market ( Market built alongside the  railway track)
  • Tour the market
  • Afterwards, we travel on to Samut Songram
  • Take a Long Tail Boat out to sea to visit Stilted Cottage.
  • We will see the Cockle Fishers in their strange masks to protect them from sunburn.
  • Lunch ( Simple food mainly fish and shellfish, please let me know if this is not suitable for your diet )
  • Swimming and Water Skiing- Thai style if you wish.
  • Then we will return towards the shore by Longtail with a stop to plant mangrove – you will get muddy if you join in the planting!
  • Back to the shore for a shower
  • Return to your Hotel in Bangkok

This really is a fun day out, but do please bring-Long sleeve shirt, swimwear, Towel, Sun Glasses, Sun Protection, and a Hat. Fun and educational- be prepared to laugh.
As this is a short sea trip some activities may be influenced by tidal conditions so we may have to make adjustments on the day.

Once we arrive at the stilted cottage we have to get off the long tail and climb a bamboo ladder for 3-4 meters.

This is a relaxed activity day out where you can have an opportunity to try fresh experiences and see things you have probably not seen before. You will have the opportunity to see a rural Thai way of life. Very colourful, fun and educational.

If you can choose a Friday-Saturday or Sunday we could add on a trip to Amphawa. Please see tour ref WPA01. Please let me know if this is of interest then I can provide you with a cost.

Please note that during the rainy season ( June-late-October)  this tour is not possible. Please email me if interested in November and I will check the expected weather conditions.
